The SALSAtlanta performance group was formed in 1999 by Julián Mejía. Julián studied Rueda de Casino in Miami and after moving to Atlanta formed the foremost Casino school in the area.
The SALSAtlanta performance group represents the school’s diversity and professionalism with performances at the 1st Annual Atlanta Salsa Congress, business conferences, schools, and various social events. In 2004, SALSAtlanta competed at the Miami Rueda Congress and won 3rd place.
SALSAtlanta embodies the spirit of unity and gaiety that Rueda-style salsa incites. The performance group is devoted to spreading the joy of dancing and teaching Rueda-style salsa throughout the city of Atlanta and beyond.
